Fr. Steven Marzouk

Fr. Steven has served as the priest for St. Paul’s Church in Suwanee, GA since October 2012.

  • Ordination: October 7, 2012, by H.E. Metropolitan Youssef.

  • Roots: Raised in Cairo, Egypt, attending St. Anthony Coptic Orthodox Church in Shoubra.

  • Education: Holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Zagazig University.

Fr. Nopher Eliass

Fr. Nopher is the priest for Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in La Vergne, TN.

  • Ordination: March 23, 2025, by H.E. Metropolitan Youssef (with H.G. Bishop Basil and visiting fathers).

  • Service: Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States.

Both Father Steven and Father Nopher have been faithfully serving the St. John Coptic Orthodox community in Birmingham since 2025. Their unwavering commitment ensures that our spiritual needs are met with compassion and understanding. They regularly offer evening vespers services, creating moments of peace and reflection for our congregation. Both priests are also available for personal guidance or confession on nights before liturgy services, providing a comforting presence and spiritual support.
